And if you are able we would be grateful for any donations in his memory. Tom was really proud of the money he raised for Bowel Cancer UK, but as a family we wanted to also recongnise the support he had from Duchess of Kent Hopsice in the last couple of weeks of his life, and finally the wonderful people at Daisy's Dream who have been and continue to support the boys.
Such a lovely man, and such a love of a good Victoria Sandwich cake Xx
Tom was one of those people who made whatever you were doing, better. Having met him 20 odd years ago when his sister started dating my brother, we hit it off immediately. A shared love of beer, crisps and generally having a good time meant that our day/nights out always ended with a story or two to tell. Over the years Tom was a key member of any family/friend event. Weddings, stag dos, bored fancy a pint nights. He arrived with a smile on his face and when he left your jaw ached from laughing so much. I started running before him but unfortunately it was clear he was much better at it than me. But Tom being Tom, all you could do was admire his commitment to whatever he set his mind to. We have a selection of photos at home, a montage of big events over the years. My favourite one of Tom is him accepting a forfeit drink of Tequila on the first hole of one of our many "Golf" weekends. All my family miss Tom, he always knew just what to do or what to say, especially if things weren't going that great in your life. His memory will live on through the stories we regularly re-tell. What a guy, what a life, what an appetite for Smokey Bacon Walkers xx
